Researchers at the University of Washington have devised a contact lens that will allow you to use computer features through your retina. The lens will have the potential to have a high resolution image that can be displayed in the retina. As well as emails the lens will eventually be able to browse music files, edit documents and play games. The aim for this device is that it will be able to do all that a computer will be able to do but it will be for use right in front of your eye in a miniscule size. There will be no wires or keyboards but the lens will be manipulated by blinking or voice activation. The lens will also be designed to be of the same size and comfort as a usual contact lens that is designed to help eye sight. As well as the usual computer futures the lens is set to have more worthwhile uses as well. The lens could also be used as a health monitoring device or could give doctors and soldiers real time information about the environment they are in. This new leap in technology will take a long time to perfect and is used by the public but when it does it will be able to achieve amazing things.
